Girls Soccer Wins District 4A-1 Championship

The Lady Bronchos girls soccer team played a tough non-district schedule, much like the boys squad, but that tough schedule helped have them ready for an undefeated run through District 4A-1. The Lady Bronchos ended the year with nine straight wins, seven of those in the district, to lock up a 4A-1 District Championship. The Lady Bronchos dominiated almost all district opponents, with their closest match being a 4-2 victory over Cache. The district championship is a huge advantage for the Bronchos as it guarantees them not only a chance to host a first round playoff game, but they will also host a second round game if they advance.

The first round of the playoffs for the girls will take place at home on Monday, May 1 at 6:00 PM. The Lady Bronchos will take on Elk City, who finished the year with a record of 8-5 along with a 4-3 record in district 4A-2 to finish in 4th place. The winner will advance to a game against the winner of Woodward and Cache, who also play on Monday in Woodward.
