Girls Soccer Rolls to Victory Over Elk City and will Advance to the State Quarterfinals

Bethany, OK - The Lady Bronchos took to the pitch last evening in the 1st round of the Class 4A Playoffs, and came away with a huge victory over Elk City. Coach Sean Williams said about the ladies, "they played great last night executing our game plan to perfection against an Elk City team who were trying to put as many players behind the ball as possible.  Our patience from our Back 3 really pulled Elk City out of there shell and opened up space for our Midfielders to get on the ball and create opportunities for our Forwards."

Brae Baker had four of the five goals for the lady Bronchos, putting her at 39 goals for the season. Amelia Cruz added a goal of her own to put her season total to 13 Goals. The Lady Bronchos were focused on Elk City and it showed as they played well in all phases of the game. The Bethany defense was stellar in limiting Elk City to very few attacking chances.

Bethany will host Woodward at home in the 4A State Quarterfinals at 6:00 PM on Thursday, May 4th. This matchup will give the Lady Bronchos a chance to avenge a 2-1, early season, road game loss to the Boomers.
