Baseball Wins Bi-District Matchup with Seminole and Advances to Regionals

Warr Acres, OK - Weather was a big factor in baseball around the state this week, but the Bronchos didn't let it slow them down. Bethany was supposed to host the Bi-District tournament, but had to move the tournament to Putnam City HS due to the weather. Despite the change in venue, the Bronchos (4A) continued their hot play of late, taking care of Seminole (4A) in two games. Cale Wetwiska got the start on the mound in the first game where the Bronchos jumped on Seminole early and continued on to an 8-1 victory. The second game was more of the same with Charlie Tolle getting the start, as Bethany came away with an 8-2 victory in this one.

Bethany has played well as of late, winning nine of their last 11 games to finish out the regular season. Bethany has added one final game on Monday against Southmoore to get tuned up for the Regional Tournament. The 4A Regional will take place at Blanchard HS next week. The schedule and other participating teams are still to be determined.
