Melissa Hawk is entering her second season at the helm of the Bethany Softball program. Hawk comes to Bethany after having served previously as the Head Coach of the OKC Broncos Homeschool Team in 2014 and 2015. In addition to serving as the head coach of the OKC Broncos HS Varsity team she has also coached in numerous traveling teams over the past several seasons including the Oklahoma Legit and the Oklahoma Spirit. Hawk has most recently served as the head coach of the Oklahoma Bombers 14 & Under travel team from 2018 to present.

Coach Hawk played college softball at Langston University from 2010-2014 and was the teams defensive player of the year in 2011 and was an All-Conference Selection in 2012, 2013, and 2014. She also pitched the first perfect game in the history of Langston University. She also played for the OKC Broncos Homeschool team when she was in High School.

Melissa has a 2 year old son, Tatum. Away from the game of softball Melissa just loves being a mom. She also enjoys traveling with her family, going to the lake, playing sand volleyball, and slow pitch softball. Coach Hawk's coaching philosophy is, "To use the gifts the Lord has given me to positively influence young women through sports and to help them mature in mind, body, character, and skills."
