April Arthur is entering her fifth year as an assistant girls basketball coach for the Lady Bronchos. She previously served as an assistant basketball coach from 2013-2015. Before returning to Bethany in 2017, Arthur was the Head 8th Grade Girls Basketball coach at Summit Middle School in Edmond, OK and also coached Softball during her time at Summit. She has also served as the Head 8th Grade Girls Coach at Del Crest Middle School in Del City. In addition to coaching, Arthur serves as a School Psychologist in the Special Services Department and was previously a School Counselor at Summit Middle School and Del Crest Middle School.

Coach Arthur was a 2004 graduate of Southwestern Christian University and played basketball during her time there. While playing she was honored to twice be named an NCCAA Academic All-American. She says her coaching philosophy is to "develop athletes who have a high level of character in all aspects of life." She is proud to have been inspired to coach by her two high school coaches, Brian Brister and Chad Hilburn. Arthur said, "They not only taught me about the game of basketball, but they showed me what i means to love their family and love their student-athletes. I would not be the person I am today without their influence in my life." 

Away from school Coach Arthur enjoys leading worship, running, working out, and watching her kids play sports. Coach Arthur is married to her husband of 13 years, Jon, who is the Athletic Director & Head Football Coach at Bethany, and they have two sons, Braxton (9) and Brooks (5).
