Neal Win's 800 Meter Run at Highly Competitive Yukon Invitational

Yukon, OK - Chapman Neal, Bethany's talented middle-distance runner has been successful all season at the 800 Meter distance. His performance on April 14 at the super competitive Yukon Invitational was no doubt the strongest of his career. The field at Yukon was one of the strongest all season with many of the state's top runners from both classes 5A and 6A in attendance. Neal, took control of the race with about 500 meters to go and was able to hold off all of those great runners down the stretch. Neal finished with a time of 2:00.16 on a day when the wind did make great times difficult to come by. Neal's closest competitor was Kanyon Cobbs from Piedmont, who ran 1:58 at the 800 meter distance just the week before. Neal now looks to close out a great career with the Western Conference Championships on Friday, April 22, followed by the regional and state championships.
