Jon Arthur is in his fourth year as the Athletic Director for Bethany Public Schools as well as the Head Football Coach. For the previous ten years Coach Arthur has served in other capacities for the athletic department at Bethany High School, most recently serving as the Assistant Head Football Coach and Head Boys & Girls Track & Field Coach. Coach Arthur, a 2003 graduate of BHS, is proud to call Bethany home along with a large number of coaches in the Bronchos' Athletic Department.

As a football coach Arthur has been a part of building a fantastic foundation of success in the Bethany program. As an assistant coach and defensive coordinator he helped lead the Bronchos to two state semi-final appearances in 2007 and 2010 as well as district championships in 2007 and 2014. In his first year at the helm of the Broncho Football program in the fall of 2017 he helped take the Bronchos to a Regional Championship and an appearance in the Class 4A State Semi-Finals. This semi-final appearance marked the first for Bethany since moving up to the 4A classification. During his second season as the head coach the Bronchos reached the Class 4A State Championship game and would finish as the 4A State Runner Up after falling to Tuttle 35-28 in the title game.

Arthur was also instrumental in building the Track & Field programs at Bethany High School, serving as an assistant from 2007-2009 and then as the Head Boys Coach from 2010-2017. Arthur's boys track teams finished in the top five at the State Championships in both 2012 and 2014, scoring more points than any other teams in history from Bethany at a State Meet. The teams also won regional championships in both of those seasons and finished as the regional runner's up two other times while Arthur was the head coach. As the Head Girls coach from 2016-2017 he saw the two highest class 4A Regional Championship finishes in school history with the team finishing as the runner up in 2016 and in 3rd place in 2017. During Arthur's time coaching track & field at Bethany members of the program have set 14 new individual school records and six new relay records. 

Prior to coming to Bethany Coach Arthur played football for four seasons at Southern Nazarene University on the offensive line and was an Academic All-Conference selection in 2005 and 2006. Arthur also played on a Conference Championship team in 2006. 

In addition to his coaching history, Arthur spent six years as the National Sports Information Director for the Association of Christian College Athletics where he organized the different media and website functions of the organization as well as serving as director for national basketball, soccer, and volleyball championships throughout the year. 

Away from his responsibilities at Bethany Public Schools Coach Arthur enjoys traveling with his family, reading, and golfing. He and his wife April, who is a basketball coach at Bethany, have two sons; Braxton (7 Years) and Brooks (3 Years).
