Broncho Cheer Finishes in the Top 6 at Gameday State

Moore, OK - This past Saturday the Bethany Cheer Team competed at the OSSAA Class 4A Gameday State Competition at Moore High School. This was the Broncho Cheer program's first state appearance in over 12 years and they finished as a finalist and in 6th place overall out of a field of 32 teams. The Gameday competition is a different type of event compared to the OSSAA Competitive Cheer State which is held in October each year. In the Gameday competition, annually held in November, teams compete in three "game like" scenarios to see who is the best in each of those situations. The situations include a dance to a band song, a school fight song performance, and a crowd leading section.

Bethany finished in sixth place with a final score of 337.4 points. Tuttle finished as the Gameday State Champion and had 371.4 points overall while Bridge Creek was the State Runner Up with 364.8 points. This was a fantastic finish by Bethany Cheer considering it was their first appearance in an OSSAA competition in over 12 years.
