Bethany Soccer Ready for Season Opener
Bethany, OK - The Bethany soccer teams are ready to open their 2018 season tonight with home games against Heritage Hall at the SNU Soccer Complex. The Lady Bronchos will play at 6:00 PM, while the varsity boys game will start at 8:00 PM. Their will also be a Junior Varsity boys game at 4:30 PM.
The girls game pits Bethany (4A), a playoff team from a year ago, against Heritage Hall (5A), who not only was a playoff team, but competed in the Class 5A State Semi-Finals last year. Heritage Hall ended the 2017 season with a record of 15-2 and fell to Claremore in that Semi-Final game to end their season. The Lady Bronchos finished last season with an 8-6 record and their season ended with a 2-0 loss to Weatherford in the opening round of the playoffs. The boys game promises to be a good matchup between the Bronchos who were a 2nd round qualifier in the Class 4A playoffs a year ago and Heritage Hall who was a Class 5A State Quarter-Finalist last year. The Bronchos ended last season with a record of 12-4 and look to improve upon that this year with many key players returning off of that squad. Their season eventually ended in the 2nd round last year with a loss to Chickasha. Heritage Hall finished last season with a final record of 9-5 and a loss in the State Quarter Finals to Woodward.
